We can give you advice on where to send your work to get it published and help you out with your referencing. The Think. Check. Submit website has got a check-list you can use to decide whether a journal is a good place to submit an article to or not.

We subscribe to BMJ Case Reports, a peer-reviewed journal indexed on PubMed. You can publish your case report for free using your NHS Athens login and an institutional code which you can get from us.

If your research is supported by a major UK funder they may well pay the publication charges for you and you might be able to upload your article for open access through UK PubMed Central.

Free reference management packages:

(in-browser reference manager, designed to operate in Mozilla Firefox)

We can give you lots of help with your referencing!

MCHFT publication list

Have you published a paper or contributed to a book?  Let us know so we can buy a copy for the library and add it to our list of Trust publications. The list contributes to the Local Education Training Board Report, is used by the Research Department and is displayed in the Library for everyone to see.

Send us the details at jetlibrary@mcht.nhs.uk

Share best practice

Quality, Innovation, Productivity & Prevention (QIPP) helps the NHS to find new ways of doing things better, saving money and improving patient care so if you have an example of good practice why not share it as a case study? You can find out how to do this here.
