If you are booked with us at Leighton Hospital, we currently have three different classes available for you to attend throughout your pregnancy:
- Infant feeding awareness sessions
- Birth preparation classes
- Journey to parenthood antenatal workshops
Infant feeding awareness sessions are run by our Infant Feeding Team and they are interactive sessions that aim to prepare you to get feeding off to a good start.
Sessions take place every other Saturday, 10am-12:30pm.
- One support person/birth partner welcome to attend with you.
- Feel free to book after 28 weeks gestation.
- Sessions are approximately 2.5 hours long with a comfort break and a chance for questions and answers.

Are you planning to birth your baby on the Midwifery Led Unit? Would you like to know more about labour and birth? Come to our birth preparation class! We advise attending from 28 weeks of pregnancy.
If you wish to attend this class, we advise booking onto this class as soon as possible, to ensure you are able to reserve a place as numbers are limited.
Classes are held on Monday's at 17:30 on the Midwifery Led Unit.

The Journey to parenthood antenatal workshops are suitable for families who are 28 weeks and over. It covers topics like: labour and birth, hypnobirthing tasters, pain relief, postnatal care, responsive parenting, sleep cycles, sleep safety, the early days and expections.
They are held on Saturdays, 10:00-14:30 at the Post Graduate Education Centre at Leighon Hospital.
