WDES Annual Report and actions plan 2023

The Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES) is a set of ten specific measures (metrics) that enable NHS organisations to compare the experiences of Disabled and nondisabled staff. Research has shown that Disabled staff have poorer experiences in areas such as bullying and harassment and attending work when feeling ill, when compared to non-disabled staff.  This annual report summarises the key findings, observations and an action plan which seeks to reflect the Trusts commitment to ensuring Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an inclusive workplace for staff with disabilities or long-term health conditions.  The report has been reviewed through internal governance and assurance meetings, including the Trusts Equality Diversity and Inclusion steering group, and a review at Trust Board.
