The shortlisted nomination recognised the Trust ‘Your Wellbeing Matters’ programme.

‘Your Wellbeing Matters’ offered staff from across the Trust the chance to have their say on the future of health and wellbeing and, ultimately, how the Trust can be an even better place to work.

Following a comprehensive listening exercise the Trust established a range of staff led priority actions for health & wellbeing.

Owing to the Coronavirus pandemic many of these initiatives have been implemented at pace to support staff at a time when they’ve need it most including; wellbeing rooms to offer respite to staff they are feeling overwhelmed and need some peace and quiet, on site food stalls and an extended range of practical and emotional support.

Heather Barnett, Director of People said:

“We really value our staff and their wellbeing at Mid Cheshire – we know that in order to give our patients the best quality, compassionate care, we also need to look after our staff.

“We’ve worked hard to develop initiatives that actively engage and support our staff. We are delighted to have had this work recognised as part of this prestigious awards ceremony and we will carry on improving and making Mid Cheshire the best place to work and receive care.”
