43. Main Entrance - external shot.jpgWork has commenced on the first-floor corridors at Leighton Hospital to reinforce these ceilings with steel struts.

Props have been placed along the corridors for additional stability during these works and the thoroughfares will remain open and are safe to navigate during this time.

The steel works are part of a comprehensive, ongoing programme to reinforce the upper floors at Leighton due to their roofs being constructed from reinforced aerated autoclaved concrete (RAAC). 

The works are likely to take some weeks and the Trust offers both its apologies to patients, visitors and staff and thanks for their patience and forbearance while these essential works are completed.
