Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting members of the public to stand as a Governor in its upcoming Council of Governor Elections.

The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, has a Council of Governors made up of 28 individuals over four constituencies.

Governors fulfil important roles at the Trust, from representing the interests of the local community at Trust meetings to approving certain appointments to the Board of Directors. Elections are being held for the following Governor vacancies:

  • Public: Crewe and South Cheshire – 2 vacancies
  • Public: Cheshire Borders – 2 vacancies
  • Staff: Clinical Support Staff – 1 vacancy
  • Staff: Other Professionally Qualified Staff - 1 vacancy
  • Staff: Nursing and Midwifery – 1 vacancy

Nominations are open from 1 July until Tuesday 29 July. Voting will take place from 20 August to Monday 15 September.
