Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust is pleased to be celebrating the graduation of its newest nurse apprentices as well as a prestigious award win.

In a ceremony earlier this year, 18 graduates honoured the successful completion of their Registered Nurse Apprenticeship at Keele University following a three-year course. The programme is designed to support individuals to develop the necessary skills to undertake a BSc Pre-Registration Nursing qualification in adult nursing.

Of the new graduates, four have progressed from Health Care Assistants (HCA) to Nursing Associates before enrolling onto a shortened 18 month programme, to further develop their skills and support their careers to becoming a Registered Nurse.

Graduate Louise Powney was also awarded the prestigious Pre-Registration Nursing Academic Prize at the ceremony for achieving the highest aggregate mark of the entire course cohort.

Nicky Madeley, Head of Workforce Transformation, said: “We would like to say a huge congratulations to the new graduates on their achievement. We are immensely proud of their dedication and strive to progressing their nursing careers and would like to wish them all the very best in the future.“
