Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) is hosting a drop-in recruitment event in Northwich this month, as part of a wider recruitment campaign to expand its team of General Nursing Assistants (GNAs).

The drop-in event will take place at Northwich Memorial Court, CW9 5QJ, on Wednesday 23rd November, running from 3pm till 7pm.

GNAs work within the community to provide care and support to patients at home. Examples of the support offered by GNAs include assisting with personal care, working alongside a patient in the preparation of light meals, assistance with catheters or stomas, and support with rehabilitation exercises.

CCICP is looking for people with previous experience in the care sector, or as a Health Care Assistant, with a passion for providing high quality care to their patients. It’s also important that candidates possess good communication skills and are confident drivers with a valid UK driving licence, as the role of a GNA requires travel between patient’s homes during both day and evening time.

GNAs can expect to work shift patterns of 8am till 4pm or 2pm till 10pm, across seven days a week. Full and part-time roles are available, and full training is provided. There are many opportunities for career progression, and the role of a GNA provides excellent experience for anyone looking to pursue a career in nursing in future.

GNAs can also expect a generous holiday allowance starting at 27 days annual leave per year, access to a gold standard NHS pension scheme, a generous fuel allowance, NHS discounts, and comprehensive occupational health and wellbeing support, among many other benefits.
