Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) is looking to find ‘youth ambassadors’ between the ages of 16 and 25 to provide a voice of this younger generation in improving our services.

Caroline Keating, Director of Corporate Affairs said: ‘’We are looking to increase and enhance engagement with our younger members and are offering a unique opportunity for three young people to come and help us drive and influence change. Previous youth ambassadors have gained valuable work experience and have developed their own projects independently, with support from the Trust. Our team will work closely with the Youth Ambassadors over the coming months to help them develop their ideas into a completed project that will have a positive impact on our patients, staff or visitors.’’

The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, has designed the voluntary roles to fit around any existing commitments, such as work or studies.

Those interested in finding out more are asked to contact the Trust’s Membership Office on 01270 612453 or email corporate.governance@mcht.nhs.uk.

The deadline for applications is Friday 28 October 2022 and interviews will take place Thursday 10 November 2022.
