Patients urged to plan ahead for May bank holidays

Patients are being asked to plan ahead for the upcoming May bank holiday weekends (Monday, 6 May and Monday, 27 May). People are being urged to make sure they know how to access urgent care – in case they or a loved need help over the bank holiday weekends, and to support the safe and timely discharge of loved ones who are ready to leave hospital.

Victoria Infirmary Northwich - important update

Victoria Infirmary Northwich will reopen to patients from 8am, Tuesday, 30 April. All appointments and services will resume, as normal, from that time. The Minor Injuries unit will open at 9am. This follows technical issues with the fire alarm that had caused the site's temporary closure.

CQC Inspection report published- Friday 19 April

The report provides the key findings from the inspection that took place in early Autumn 2023, and despite many positives detailed in the report, our maternity services and Leighton Hospital are now rated as 'requires improvement’. However Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust CQC rating remains at 'Good'.

Cheshire pharmacies among first in country to pilot MMR vaccine offer

Children aged five to 11 who have missed doses of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine will be able to get vaccinated at selected Cheshire and Merseyside pharmacies for the first time thanks to a new initiative being trialled in the North West.
