Continuing pressures in urgent and emergency care services

Like most acute care hospitals around the country, Leighton Hospital’s Emergency Department continues to experience exceptionally high demand and is seeing many more very poorly patients than usual. This includes a number of serious cases of ‘flu and Covid-19 infections.

Public urged to continue to access care if they need it despite industrial action

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has confirmed that members at a number of Cheshire and Merseyside NHS organisations plan to join strike action on both Thursday, December 15th and Tuesday, December 20th 2022.
