Patients' Meals

Each day you will receive a menu for completion. A ward hostess will visit the ward twice a day at 10am and 2pm to collect your completed menu or assist with your menu options. If you have been admitted between meal times, we will ensure you have a meal of your choice.

Meal times (approximate times only):

  • Breakfast served from 7.45am – 8.30am
  • Lunch served from 11.45am – 1.30pm
  • Dinner served from 4.45pm – 6.45pm

Please let the ward staff know if you have any dietary needs.

If you have any problems with your meal, please speak to a member of staff. We can offer you a choice of a hot meal or sandwiches and a dessert, yoghurt or fruit.

Water is provided on your arrival and is always available. Hot drinks are available throughout the day.

Protected Meal times

All wards operate a protected meal time. We kindly ask that visitors do not visit during these times, unless they are assisting a patient to eat their meal or a special request is made to the Ward Manager. Please ask a member of staff for further information on the protected meal times.
