Everyone who comes to our hospitals deserves to feel safe – including the staff who care for our communities every day.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new Violence Prevention & Reduction Strategy (2026–2030), supported by the “Our Care. Your Respect.” campaign.
What this means
Violence and aggression towards NHS staff is not acceptable. Our strategy sets out a clear, evidence-based approach to preventing and reducing violence by:
-
Taking a zero-tolerance stance on deliberate acts of violence and abuse
-
Supporting staff to report incidents and access help
-
Using data and continuous improvement to focus on areas of highest risk
-
Working closely with partners including police, ambulance services and community organisations
-
Promoting kindness, respect and understanding through a trauma-informed approach
What we ask of patients and visitors
-
Treat staff, patients and visitors with respect
-
Understand that abusive or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated
-
Work with us to maintain a safe and caring environment
Our staff are here to help. Our care deserves your respect.
