Disruption To Telephone Lines On Saturday 20 February (6-9am)

On Saturday 20 February, between 6 and 9am, the Trust will be carrying out urgent works to its telephone lines which will affect incoming calls to a number of wards, departments and services. 

During this time, external callers can contact our Switchboard on 01270 255141 to be transferred to the relevant person or team.

Switchboard, as well as internal calls and calls made from within the organisation, will not be affected.

Due to the works taking place at the weekend, and most services being closed, we expect disruption to be minimal.

Will any lines/services be unaffected?

It will still be possible for our staff to make internal calls, as well as external calls from any affected numbers.

As well as Switchboard, some other telephone lines will also be unaffected. These include our IT Helpdesk, phlebotomy call centre, Covid-19 vaccine call centre, calls to both Victoria Infirmary and Elmhurst, and calls to our Northwich and Winsford Care Community Hubs/teams.

Why is the work taking place?

The Trust’s incoming telephone lines will soon no longer be supported by service providers. This essential work will replace the lines, which also experience regular faults, with a more resilient and supported platform.

We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused, and would like to ask for your help in informing colleagues, patients and partners to use our Switchboard as the main contact point for the Trust between 6am and 9am on Saturday.
