Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is fortunate in having over 350 volunteers working in various areas of the hospital, some working directly for the Voluntary Services Department and others for one of the many voluntary organizations within the Trust.
Volunteers provide a valuable resource, which enhances patient care by giving practical help and support to our patients and staff.

WRVS volunteers provide a buffet bar service in our Outpatients Department, all profits are used to benefit the hospital.
Hospital Broadcast Service offers an entertaining selection of programmes for inpatients, including a request service and local football commentaries.
League of Friends members raise funds for hospital projects from various patient services: hospital shop, evening/weekend teabar and weekly stall in Outpatients Department. They also organise fundraising events and provide the Library Service.
ABC (After Breast Care) Association volunteers raise funds for various projects which have included CT scanner, MRI Scanner, Breast Care Unit. They have a sales stall in Outpatients three mornings per week and organise fundraising events.
British Red Cross: Community & Hospital Support Service also Therapeutic Care.
Ray of Hope Appeal: Raise funds for Women’s Health Unit and provides knitted baby clothes and blankets where needed. Fortnightly stall in Outpatients Department selling knitted goods provided by a huge team of knitters.
