Non-Executive Director

Ruth joined the Trust as Non-Executive Director in November 2011. Ruth worked for 21 years in Local Government at Manchester City Council, and was responsible for a broad range of customer-orientated services. During her time there, she was heavily involved in projects such as the Commonwealth Games, including being Head of Protocol and responsible for all VIPs including Her Majesty the Queen.

Ruth retired from full-time work in 2007 and became an Independent Member of the Cheshire Police Authority in 2008, where she is Chair of the Staff Committee and a member of a number of other Committees. Ruth also sits on the Police Authority Improvement Panel and is Lead Member for the Transforming Policing Change programme.
